Base and mid trims use a turn-key ignition with NO immobilizer (theft class list runs through the 2020 Optima) — a cut key starts the car with no programming. Smart-key trims with push-button start use a Hitag 3 / ID47 fob (NCF2951 family), programmed by OBD; a Kia PIN may be required depending on the tool.
